The Role
As an Audit Manager, you’ll take full ownership of managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients, leading assignments from planning through to completion, and providing strategic business advice. You’ll play a key role in developing client relationships, supporting your team, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the audit function.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery
- Overseeing and reviewing work of the audit team and providing technical guidance
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying areas for improvement or added value
- Working closely with partners and senior management on audit strategy and business development initiatives
- Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Proven experience managing audits from start to finish
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
- Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to client service and business growth
- Experience with audit software (CaseWare, CCH, or similar) and cloud-based accounting platforms
