The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm that has been supporting businesses for over a century.

Continued expansion has created an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join the team and play a key role in the next phase of growth.

This role offers genuine autonomy, strong client exposure and a clear pathway for progression within a people-focused and forward-thinking environment.

The RoleWorking closely with Directors and Partners, you will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients while supporting and developing the wider team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of accounts clients
  • Reviewing year-end statutory accounts
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Building long-term relationships with business owners
  • Managing workflow, deadlines and team utilisation
  • Supporting and mentoring junior and senior team members
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory services
  • Working closely with Tax, Audit and Advisory teams
  • Supporting business development and networking activities

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Strong experience gained within UK accountancy practice
  • Experience managing a client portfolio
  • Previous team management or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical accounts knowledge
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and an advisory mindset
  • A desire to contribute to the growth and development of the wider business
